Close to Home is a series of watercolor paintings that capture the landmark architecture and ordinary structures that comprise the built environment in and around Fort Smith, Arkansas. These paintings serve to document buildings we may have looked at many times but have never really seen. Upon closer examination, many of these ordinary structures reveal themselves to be as worthy of our attention as the grand public buildings that exist in our community.
